It is not compulsory to have a lawyer when making a complaint to the Equality Council. The Equality Council cannot provide you with a lawyer to represent you in the Council or in other institutions.

If you want a lawyer to represent you, you must pay for the lawyer's services yourself. Alternatively, you may contact one of the nongovernmental organizations in Moldova working on human rights issues, which might have a lawyer who may assist you.

In some cases, if you have a low income or are a vulnerable person, a paralegal or a lawyer may be provided to you by the National Legal Aid Council. To find out if you are eligible for such legal aid, contact your local branch of the National Legal Aid Council.

Nobody is entitled to a state-paid lawyer to represent or assist with a complaint to the Equality Council.
